From Dr. Terry Everitt, Incoming Superintendent of Schools – Timpson ISD Effective 2026

To the Timpson Community,

It is with tremendous excitement and deep gratitude that I write to you as the next Superintendent of Schools for Timpson ISD. I am honored to join this remarkable community and committed to serving our students, families, staff, and citizens with stability, unity, and transparency as we work together to build an even stronger future for our schools.

My vision for Timpson ISD is clear: to become the gold standard among small school districts in Texas. We want to be a district where students are excited to attend, teachers are proud to teach, and families are confident sending their children—because they know we provide an exceptional educational experience grounded in high expectations, strong relationships, and meaningful opportunities.

In the years ahead, our work will focus on elevating student experiences and strengthening our winning culture—academically, athletically, in fine arts, and across all extracurricular programs. We will strive to ensure every student leaves Timpson ISD with options and a pathway to success, whether that is college, career, or military service. We will continue investing in facilities that make our community proud, and we will model excellent customer service at every level, because leadership is service.

Throughout my interview process, I learned quickly what makes Timpson special. I was inspired by the deep community pride and support that surrounds this school district. I was encouraged by the tradition of high expectations and hard work that has shaped generations of Bears. I am incredibly impressed by the competitive spirit and determination that define Timpson and drive the success of our students and programs. These strengths are a foundation we will honor and build upon together.

We are strongest when we work together. The schools are part of the Timpson community, and I am honored to lead a district that values collaboration and unity. You can expect tremendous engagement and open communication, because your voice matters. In the coming days, I will share my Entry Plan, which will guide my onboarding to the district. You will see me spending a great deal of time listening, learning, and building relationships across the community and on every campus.

I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the Timpson ISD Board of Trustees for their trust in me and the opportunity to serve this extraordinary district. I look forward to earning that trust every day through my actions, my visibility, and my commitment to excellence.

The future of Timpson ISD is bright, and the best days for our students and community lie ahead. I look forward to beginning this journey with you.
