Current Substitute Pay Scale

Subsitute Training

Timpson ISD has scheduled a substitute orientation/training for Tuesday, October 27 at 9 AM in the Central Administration Boardroom.

The training is required each year for those who are recurring substitute teachers or new applicants. If you have never been a substitute teacher at Timpson ISD, you will need to fill out an application. The application may be obtainied prior to the training date at the Central Office – the application is not online.

An applicant who has never substituted for a school district must be fingerprinted with a criminal background check done before being place on the sub list. When the applicant has completed training, his or her information is uploaded to TEA and he or she will receive an email with information about getting the fingerprinting scheduled. The fee for the fingerprinting is the responsibility of the applicant.

Timpson ISD appreciates our substitute teachers for their faithfulness to help our students. For more details prior to training or if you have questions, you may call Sherri Strahan at 936-254-2463 Ext. 4100 or email at sstrahan@timpsonisd.com.
